Las huellas y los procesos de reconstrucción post catástrofe
RESUMEN
La identidad urbana es la personalidad construida a lo largo del tiempo por un barrio, ciudad, país, etc. lo que ella es, pretende ser y lo que llega a reflejar. Tarqui, es un barrio que sin lugar a duda refleja una personalidad sobre todo por su manera de continuar siendo un sitio distinto a pesar de haber sufrido los estragos de un sismo, fenómeno por el cual el barrio está siendo sujeto a cambios provenientes de planes, programas y proyectos de renovación urbana post desastre.
Este estudio busca comprender las características que dan vida a esa identidad de barrio, conociendo elementos que lo conforman, su relación con los ciudadanos y el grado de preservación de sus huellas tangibles e intangibles de su historia, donde la idea de renovación pasa por tener en cuenta estas huellas que van ligadas al grado de preservación y a las expectativas de la población.
De este modo se puede entender que a la hora de afrontar la renovación de un centro urbano parcialmente destruido por una catástrofe es importante considerar las huellas de la historia de población que esta enraizada a su modo de vida anterior.
